When is choir at West?

Choir is a class that meets during the day. We have 5 curricular choir classes throughout the day. Students who are new to choir are placed into Bel Canto Choir or Varsity Singers based on their schedules.

Can I be in choir and also participate in sports or other after-school activities?

Yes! Many of our students participate in sports (all three seasons) and other activities.

 

I wasn't in choir in middle school. Can I still take choir at West?

Yes! Just tell your counselor that you are interested in taking choir when you register.

 

Do I have to audition to be in choir?

There is no audition for students who are new to choir at West Aurora. After the first year, students have the opportunity to audition for our advanced ensembles.

 

I don’t think that I’m a very good singer. Can I still be in choir?

Yes! Like anything else, singing takes practice. If you like to sing, we would love to have you!
